On December 15th, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Education Department the Education Department successfully hosted an academic forum on preschool education at the 950 meeting room of the library. This forum, themed "The Power of Play aimed to enhance the construction level of the national first-class preschool education major, and promote the efficient two-way interaction between universities and kindergartens. The forum Professor Guo Liangjing from the College of Education Science at Nanjing Normal University and Professor Dong Xuahua from Shandong Women's University to give speeches, and invited several kindergartens with rich experience in game activity observation and evaluation to share their experiences. The forum was presided over by Dr. Manyuan, associate professor of the Education Department. In the morning, Professor Guo Liangjing gave a report titled "Building a Bridge Between Play and Teaching Observation". She deeply analyzed the connection between play and teaching, providing ideas for preschool education practice, helping teachers understand children's needs, optimize teaching strategies, and improve quality, thus initiating the wisdom exchange at the forum. Professor Dong Xuahua gave a report titled "Dialectical Thinking on Autonomous Play in Kindergart". She deeply analyzed the connotation, characteristics, and problems encountered in practice of autonomous play, and emphasized that teachers should dialectically understand the relationship between freedom autonomy, play and autonomous play, and provide more opportunities for children to make autonomous choices and engage in autonomous activities, thereby cultivating their autonomy and creativity. In the, there was a session for experience sharing from kindergartens. Five kindergartens with distinctive educational features, including Nantou Ancient City Kindergarten Shenzhen, Tangshui Kindergarten in Hangzhou, Hongling Kindergarten in Nanchang, Ganzhou Nursery, and the Third Kindergarten inukou County, shared their educational practice experiences in sequence. The content covered curriculum design, environmental creation, home-school cooperation, etc., showcasing their practical achievements and measures, and highlighting the diverse vitality of preschool education. Finally, the experts affirmed the educational practice achievements of the kindergartens. They stated that the practical of the kindergartens demonstrated the positive trend of the development of preschool education, providing valuable experience and inspiration for other kindergartens. They hoped that kindergartens could adhere to the educational concept of "making play the basic activity", continuously explore and practice, and jointly promote the high-quality development of preschool. The successful hosting of this forum provided a platform for exchange and learning for scholars and educators in the field of preschool education, injected new momentum for the innovative development preschool education, and benefited both educational institutions and children's growth. The teachers of the preschool education major expressed that they would take this forum as an opportunity to further cooperation with kindergartens, explore new concepts, methods, and models of preschool education, and jointly promote the preschool education in Jiangxi Province to a new of development.
